Turps

Turps Sports Bar and Restaurant
1317 North Charles Street
Baltimore, MD

Tuesday at Turps is Half-Price Pizza Night, so we decided this was a good place to restart the Baltimore Pizza Club. We ordered the Bianco, which is "five imported cheeses: romano, parmesan, mozzarella, ricotta and provolone, brushed with garlic, herbs and olive oil". The waitress warned us about the fact that the "specialty pizza" Bianco is "just bread and cheese"... which we thought was fine because that's what pizza is made of. Sara added red pepper to her slices because she felt the individual flavors of the 5 cheeses on the Bianco all blended together and it needed a little kick. We rated it a 7.5, but it would have been an 8 if it wasn't for the grease and lack of napkins. (We are going to be switching to a new pizza rating system. On this new system we give them 6 slices out of 8.)

We are unsure if the half price deal is only for their specialty pizzas or if they apply to all the pizzas on the menu. If you order a regular pizza, toppings are free. The half-price special is for dine-in pizzas only. You can order a bucket of PBR tall boys for $5.50, which go very nicely with the pizza and for dining on a budget.
